While the holy month of Ramadan is being celebrated all over the world, let’s discuss the mistakes Muslims make usually while fasting and praying during Ramadan

Mistake 1: Focusing on food more than other important things, like prayers and Quran
Mistake 2: Making suhoor much before the dawn. (The best time for suhoor is exactly before sunrise)
Mistake 3: Do not make niyyah (intention) for fast
Mistake 4: Leave the fast in the middle if they eat something unintentionally
Mistake 5: Do not read Tarawih on the first night of Ramadan
Mistake 6: Do not remind a person if saw him/her eating or drinking during fasting period
Mistake 7: many believe that women cannot use henna while fasting
Mistake 8: One cannot taste the food to check the right spices if he/she is fasting. (Tasting food is fine unless you are eating it)
Mistake 9: you cannot use a miswak or toothbrush during Ramadan, (Miswak is fine to use)
Mistake 10: Making Fajr adhan too early or making Maghrib adhan too late.
Mistake 11: Believe that sleeping with spouse during Ramadan is wrong. (It is not forbidden unless you have sex)
Mistake 12: Women believe that if their period has just ended and they did not make ghusl, they cannot fast that day (They can)
Mistake 13: Men believe that if he had intercourse with his wife and did not make ghusl then he cannot fast the next morning.
Mistake 14: Pray Dhur and Asr prayers together
Mistake 15: believing that you cannot eat until the muezzin is done calling the Maghrib adhan
Mistake 16: Skip making d’ua before they break their fast.
Mistake 17: Spending later days of Ramadan preparing for Eid, neglecting Ramadan
Mistake 18: Parents not letting their children fast during Ramadan
Mistake 19: Wasting time in sleeping whole day or in meaningless gossip (Reading Quran and prayers is the best use of time during Ramadan
Mistake 20: Seeking excuses to avoid fasting or breaking the fast
Mistake 21: They cannot cut their hair or nails during Ramadan (Not true)
Mistake 22: Cannot swallow your spit during Ramadan (Can swallow spit, but cannot swallow mucus)
Mistake 23: Fast breaks if you get hurt or bleed (Not true)
